Skoda has produced its 100,000th Skoda Citigo at the Volkswagen factory in Bratislava. The Citigo was launched at the end of 2011 and in 2013 sales were up by an impressive 51 per cent. Numerous clever concepts make the Citgo a real ‘Simply Clever’ car. With several storage compartments and nets, hooks as well as its spacious boot – this car is extremely practical. And exceptionally safe: As the first mini car, the Citigo, together with its sister models from the Volkswagen Group, received the best possible rating of 5 stars in the Euro NCAP crash test. The Citigo is powered by a 1.0-litre MPI three-cylinder petrol engine, available in either 60hp or 75hp output. The 60hp variant can achieve a combined fuel consumption of just 4.1L/100km and emits only 95g/km of CO2.
