Today we are gearing up to once again participate in another Cannonball rally. For those that don’t know Cannonball is now the largest organised road trip in Europe and quiet possibly the most exciting motoring and social event of the Irish calendar. The trip typically features 190 cars including the world’s top makes: McLaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Maserati, Rolls Royce and Bentley etc. Over 150,000 people will line the streets as Cannonball blazes a trail through towns and counties in spectacular style. With festivals and gatherings all along the route, this three-day road trip is an experience we have enjoyed over the last eight years. Below is a map highlighting the route we will be driving.
Every detail is taken care of by the Cannonball team so we are delighted to once again be apart of an event that has raised over €900,000 for Irish Charities. This year we are once again raising funds for the Make A Wish foundation and we will become part of a very special car collection travelling the country. For Cannonball 9 we will be driving the super rare Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadrifoglio. This beast packs serious punch thanks to its Ferrari derived 2.9 litre Twin Turbo V6 that pushes out 510hp. The sprint to 100 kilometres comes up in just 3.9 seconds and in the right environment “not a public road” the 8 speed gearbox will see you good for 307km/h.
