The Land Rover Puissance returns to the Dublin Horse Show on August 11th for what will be the 15th year of Land Rover’s sponsorship of this sensational competition. To celebrate, Land Rover have enlisted well known garden designer and Land Rover Ambassador Diarmuid Gavin, to create a striking floral display for the Land Rover Puissance Wall.
The Dublin Horse Show is recognised worldwide as one of the most prestigious jumping competitions and the Land Rover Puissance is the most exciting competition at the Dublin Horse Show and is not to be missed. The Land Rover Puissance wall starts at a height of 1.850m, which is raised for each round until it reaches the massive height of 2.20m. Each competing horse must clear the Land Rover Puissance leading to a very exciting knockout finish!
The Land Rover Puissance wall is immediately identifiable due to its distinctive red brick appearance. This year to complement the wall, Garden Designer Diarmuid selected a range of shrubs and perennial flowers which he brought to the RDS in the new ultra-versatile commercial version of the Land Rover Discovery. Diarmuid created an elegant display that contrasted nicely with the familiar red and white brick pattern of the Land Rover Puissance Wall. Pink and white hydrangeas, echinacea and cornflowers complemented the green topiary box balls in terracotta pots for a shapely design.
Garden designer and Land Rover Ambassador Diarmuid Gavin said “The challenge is creating a design that reflects the magnitude and heritage of the Land Rover Puissance. I am looking forward to watching the Land Rover Puissance and being part of the Land Rover Puissance story.”
Eddie Kavanagh, Jaguar Land Rover Managing Director said, “Land Rover is very proud of its association with the Puissance competition at the Dublin Horse Show. The Puissance reflects the Land Rover ethos of strength and performance. As this is our 15th year of sponsorship, we were delighted to mark the occasion with the help of Land Rover Ambassador Diarmuid Gavin, who has created a stunning floral display. We hope everyone enjoys this year’s Land Rover Puissance competition and we wish all the riders the best of luck.”
The Land Rover Puissance takes place on Saturday, August 11th at the Dublin Horse Show which runs from 8th- 12th August.
