CITROËN have announced that they will cover the cost of the recently announced 2% VAT increase on behalf of its customers. Available on all post-budget orders until the 31st December, and registered by the 31st March, in participating Citroën dealerships nationwide.

Citroën has announced the introduction of a price freeze to give certainty to customers ordering a new car for delivery in the New Year. The 2% VAT increase will have an impact of up to €550 on the recommended retail price of Citroën C5 and C4 Picasso models. In addition, a total of 19 passenger models qualify for Tax Band A road tax, which are now available to view on www.citroen.ie.

Customers can also reduce their spending at the pumps with a wide range of efficient HDi and e-HDi diesel engines available, delivering fuel efficient vehicles up to 83 mpg for the C3 e-HDi 70 Airdream EGS. With emissions of just 87g/km this new version of the C3 supermini is now Citroën’s most fuel and CO2 efficient diesel powered car, ranking it amongst the very best in its class. These impressive figures are achieved by Citroën’s innovative e-HDi micro-hybrid Stop & Start technology, combined with a refined and efficient 68hp HDi diesel engine.

Fréderic Soulier, Citroën Motor Ireland’s Managing Director, commented: “Citroën is committed to delivering great value motoring to our customers and this Price Freeze Promotion is a perfect example of this. Our range fuel efficient vehicles, along with our fixed price service contracts, and three year warranty, offers Citroën customers peace of mind with competitively low running costs.”
