Volkswagen Ireland are delighted to announce silver-level sponsorship of Dublin Pride 2021 which comprises of co-branding, virtual parade attendance, vehicle share and employee workshops around LGBTQI awareness topics. A highlight of the partnership is the supply of the 2021 ‘PrideWagen’, a rainbow-wrapped Volkswagen Transporter, to Dublin Pride in order to support logistic requirements and community outreach programmes throughout the summer.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the 2021 parade will once-more be a virtual event and Volkswagen Ireland staff are looking forward to representing the brand during the broadcast, along with other co-branding elements such as the pop-up Pride Hub on Duke Street in Dublin 2.
An integral part of the sponsorship will include the delivery of seminars from Dublin Pride to Volkswagen Ireland employees around the history of Pride both in Ireland and abroad plus how best to support LGBTQI colleagues in the workplace.
The partnership falls under the wider umbrella of one of Volkswagen’s core principles – We Live Diversity – which recognises the importance and benefit of the company celebrating its diverse workplace.
