The BMW Group has just opened the world’s largest showroom in Abu Dhabi for BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce as well as BMW Motorcycles. Abu Dhabi Motors has invested approximately AED 300 million, which is in the region of €62 million. The showroom extends over 35,000 square metres and has more than 450 members of staff employed.
There are in excess of 70 cars and 10 motorcycles on permanent display in the showroom. The extensive workshop will be capable of working on up to 120 vehicles simultaneously. Customers can also browse through the showroom’s shopping and boutique area, which has a range of BMW and MINI fashion items. Also available is a café, a Formula One racing simulator and a children’s play area.
Abu Dhabi is the top market for sales for BMW in the Middle East region with the 7 Series proving the most popular with 4,511 sales in 2011. Following this is the 5 Series, X6 and X5 models.
