Volvo’s all-new V40 will be making an appearance at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The V40 is a premium five-door hatchback that boasts class-leading driving dynamics. The chassis has been designed with agility in mind and promises to offer a true driving experience. All engine versions in the V40 will feature start-stop and braking energy regeneration.
The V40 will come with a host of safety features fitted, including Volvo’s groundbreaking Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake system. There’s also a world-first pedestrian airbag. Speaking about the new V40 Hakan Abrahamsson, Vehicle Line Director commentated “The all-new V40 is the most intelligent and safe Volvo model so far. All its features are designed around the driver, helping him or her stay alert and well informed to avoid collisions and dangerous situations”. Volvo aim to sell 90,000 units per year with 85 per cent of these being delivered to European customers. The V40 will make its appearance on Irish roads towards the end of July 2012.
