BMW is introducing a new entry-level vehicle to their X3 model line-up, with the introduction of the BMW X3 sDrive 18d. The sDrive 18d will be the first rear-wheel-drive model in the range. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 143hp and 360Nm of torque, customers can choose to have a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission fitted. As a result of emitting just 135g/km of Co2 this new X3 variant will be seated in tax band B, with €225 annual road tax. The sDrive 18d comes equipped with the same standard equipment as fitted to the xDrive 20d except for Hill Descent Control, which is only required for four-wheel-drive models. The SE models all feature 17” alloys, Nevada leather upholstery, Drive Performance Control, Auto Start-Stop and BMW iDrive complete with a 6.5” colour screen. The M Sport models benefit from 18” alloys, M aerodynamic bodystyling, sport suspension and sport seats. The addition of this new X3 model expands the engine line-up to four diesel variants. Prices for this new X3 sDrive 18d will be announced closer to its arrival, towards the end of October.
