Renault has announced some details of its new Mégane range, which has undergone a number of styling changes for 2013. Up front, the Mégane now features led daytime running lights and revised bumpers, along with a selection of new wheels. The Mégane features two new Stop & Start engines, complete with deceleration and braking energy recovery.

The new diesel engine is the dCi 110, this 1.5-litre diesel has 110hp and 260Nm of torque, which enable it to return an impressive 80.7mpg on a combined run.

As well as these two new engines the Mégane features practical technology, including Bluetooth connectivity and audio-streaming, usb/jack sockets and a multi-function steering wheel. The new Renault Mégane is available across three variants, Hatch, Coupe and Grand Mégane, with prices commencing from €18,990. Commenting on the new Mégane, Julien Lelorrain, Marketing Director, Renault Ireland said, “New Mégane is amongst the newest cars introduced in this segment on the Irish market.
