BMW Motorrad has unveiled its new F 800 GT motorcycle at the EICMA 70th Salone Internationale del Motociclo in Milan, Italy. This new F 800 GT is a replacement for the F 800 ST, as a middleweight touring motorcycle. It has been designed to offer long-distance comfort, dynamic handling and impressive fuel economy from its 800cc parallel-twin BMW engine. Its engine produces 90hp, which is a 5hp increase over the ST model. The newly designed fairing is said to offer improved wind and weather protection for the rider and pillion. The new F 800 GT is available with a host of factory-fitted options, these include ASC (Automatic Stability Control) and ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment). The latest generation of BMW’s ABS is fitted as standard. Customers can also purchase the new hard luggage system which incorporates panniers and a top box. Prices for this new F 800 GT will be announced shortly.
