Skoda’s third-generation Octavia is due to arrive in Ireland this coming March, with prices commencing from €18,995. Customers will be able to choose from three different specifications, with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions across five engine alternatives.
The new Octavia is larger than its predecessor, it’s 90mm longer and 45mm wider, whilst the wheelbase has increased by 108mm. The three trim levels are, Active, Ambition and Elegance. Some of the standard features on the entry-level model include, ESC, curtain airbags, electrically adjustable and heated mirrors and 15” wheels. There’s a €2,350 premium to progress to the Ambition variant which has such items as, air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity and 16” alloys. The top-spec Elegance model (+€1,550) benefits from climate control, mp3 and usb connection, wood trim, rear parking sensors, cruise control, Bolero sound system and 17” alloys.
