The beautiful Alfa Romeo 4C will officially go on sale in Ireland towards the end of 2013. Worldwide production is limited to just 3,500 units per year. The 4C will be built at the Maserati plant in Modena and utilises a 1,750cc turbocharged petrol engine that’s mated to a semi-automatic transmission. The car is built using a one-piece carbon-fibre monocoque which weights only 65kg. The engine produces 240hp and 350Nm of torque, this results in a 0-100km/h time of 4.5 seconds.
The interior features the exposed carbon-fibre chassis and a multi-function TFT digital display. There’s a bespoke steering wheel with integrated gear-shifter paddles.
