BMW 2 Series Coupé Due in March 2014

BMW has announced details of its first ever 2 Series model, the 2 Series Coupé, the successor to the 1 Series Coupé. It will be launched in Ireland in March 2014, with prices commencing from €38,480 OTR. Customers will be able to choose from two petrol and one diesel engine from launch. The petrol-powered models are a 220i Coupé (€39,080) and an M235i Coupé (€57,660). The former offers 184hp and 270Nm of torque and has CO2 emissions of 148g/km, the sporty M235i delivers 326hp and 450Nm of torque, with emissions of 189g/km. The diesel engined 220d Coupé (€38,480) will most likely be the key seller, it produces 184hp and 380Nm of torque, with CO2 emissions of 125g/km and a combined fuel consumption of 58.9mpg.

The BMW 2 Series Coupé is available across four trim levels, SE, Sport, Modern and M Sport. Just some of the standard equipment includes, a 6.5” colour display with iDrive controller, BMW Professional radio, automatic climate control, drive performance control, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, sport multi-function steering wheel and rain sensing wipers. There are also a host of optional equipment available, including lane departure warning, forward collision warning, Xenon headlights and ConnectedDrive Services.
