Mercedes-Benz has unveiled details of their new V-Class, which will arrive in Ireland in early 2015. It was previously known as the Viano, this new V-Class has been treated to a complete makeover with a host of new technical and safety enhancements. Some of these include features that warn the driver against drowsiness, inattention and the effects of crosswinds and also an array of systems that help with braking, blind spot, parking and 360-degree collision prevention assist. The V-Class is equipped with four individual luxury seats as standard, all the rear seats can be fully removed to increase space. There is indeed plenty of options available, including a folding table and active seat ventilation. A fully integrated infotainment and multimedia system with 80GB capacity includes optional surround sound, DVD player, internet access, apps usage, photorealistic mapping and real time traffic info.
There will be three models on offer, a V200 CDI, V220 CDI and a V250 BlueTEC, all utilise a two-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. Customers can choose from three body lengths, Compact, Long and Extra Long. Full specifications and prices will be announced closer to the V-Class’s arrival.
