Later this month we’ll see the arrival of Honda’s new Civic Tourer, an estate variant of their new Civic. The new Civic Tourer is just 235mm longer than the Civic hatchback, yet offers an impressive 624 litres of boot space, this can be extended to 1,668 litres with the rear seats folded down. Honda has installed a new rear Adaptive Damper System (ADS), which automatically adjusts the rear suspension damping force in relation to the varying load and driving conditions.

Customers can choose to have Honda’s new safety pack fitted on their car, it includes City-Brake Active System, Forward Collision Warning, high beam support system, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition system, blind spot information and cross traffic monitor. The key engine in the line-up will be the 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel. This efficient unit offers a combined fuel consumption of 3.8L/100km (74.3 mpg) and has just 99g/km of CO2, resulting in an annual road tax fee of €180. There is also a 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol engine available.

Standard equipment levels in the Civic Tourer are as follows, Comfort models feature Climate Control, Bluetooth, Alloy Wheels, Idle Stop, Premium Audio System with DAB, Roof Rails, Alarm, Electric Windows, Front Centre Armrest, and LED daytime running lights.
