FIAT officially unveiled their all-new FIAT 500X at last week’s Paris Motor Sow. It’s available across two variants, with a choice of 12 body colours and eight wheel designs. The engine range consists of four petrol and three diesels, there is a 1.6-litre E-torQ engine that produces 110hp, a 1.4-litre turbocharged MultiAir II petrol with 140hp, both are available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel-drive petrol models have a nine-speed automatic transmission as standard and are powered by a 170hp 1.4-litre turbo charged MultiAir II engine or a 184hp 2.4-litre Tigershark engine.
The front-wheel drive diesel range consists of the 95hp, 1.3-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel, equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox and the 120hp1.6-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. The four-wheel drive diesel option is the 140hp, 2.0-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel, which will be available with a six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic transmission. Final engine and transmission availability will be confirmed closer to the car’s launch in Ireland.
