Michelin has been awarded the Motorcycle News product of the year tyre award for its Michelin Pilot Road 4 range of motorcycle tyres. The range includes sport, trail and GT versions for most road bikes over 600cc. The new Michelin Pilot Road 4 is made from a new silica-rich compound with unique XST+ sipes that help it stop 17 per cent faster than its closest competitor on wet roads and 24 per cent quicker on wet slippery surfaces such as pedestrian crossings. Michelin say it will last 20 per cent longer then the lifetime of its predecessor.
