Volkswagen has launched two hot versions of its Golf GTI, the TCR variant for the race track and the GTI Clubsport for the road. 40 years since the first Golf GTI was launched Volkswagen’s announces details of its most power variants. The Golf GTI TCR is equipped with a 2.0-litre petrol turbo-charged engine to produce an impressive 330hp and 410Nm of torque. Its engine is mated to a sequential transmission with shift paddles on the steering wheel. The GTI Clubsport model develops 265hp, some 35hp more than the previous most powerful Golf GTI. It also has a boost function which allows the driver to briefly increase the power by 10 percent to 290hp.
