Al Hayes Motors, Galway has been awarded the national Volkswagen Passenger Car Dealer of the Year 2016 at the recent Volkswagen Gold Pin Awards. The prestigious award, which celebrates excellence within the Volkswagen Retail network, recognises dealers’ contribution in a number of areas including sales performance, local market share and overall customer experience and is also the highest honour that a Volkswagen retailer can achieve.
Commenting on winning the award, Al Hayes, Dealer Principal, Al Hayes Motors said, “Winning the Passenger Car Dealer of the Year 2016 is a great honour for the dealership. The competition is very tough as the retailer network is operated by progressive and professional businesses that are constantly looking for ways to improve their business and their Customer focus. The award was presented to Niall Hayes, Volkswagen Brand Manager at Al Hayes Motors, by Lars Himmer, Group Managing Director of Volkswagen Ireland, at a gala awards ceremony held in the Dunloe Hotel in Kerry.
Claiming the prestigious award of Passenger Car Dealer of the Year 2016 follows the Portumna based dealership’s success of recent years. In 2015, Al Hayes motors was awarded the Volkswagen Commercial Dealer of the Year and in 2012 they won the International dealer Service Quality Award. In 2012 and 2014, staff members received individual national awards with both Al Hayes (2012) and Niall Hayes (2014) awarded gold pins.
