Latest to announce their unveilings at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show is Opel. They will host the world Premiere of two models on March 6th in Geneva, and rev.ie will be there to see this launch and all the other main ones. Opel will unveil its Astra OPC and its all-new Mokka sub-compact SUV.
This new Astra OPC will be the most powerful to-date. Its 2.0l turbocharged engine produces 280hp and 400Nm of torque which will result in a top speed of 250 km/h. Key to the Astra OPC’s handling will be the HiPerStruts which were first seen on the Insignia OPC. Opel’s test engineers have completed in excess of 10,000 kilometres pounding around Germany’s famous Nurburgring race track. It certainly promises to be both the fastest and best Astra yet.
Also on the Opel stand at the Geneva show will be the new Mokka. It’s a sub-compact SUV that will generously accommodate five people. There’ll be three engines available, two petrol derived and one diesel. Customers can also choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel-drive for their Mokka. It will come fitted with many safety features as standard including ESC, traction control, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control. We’ll have more details on both models when we visit the Opel stand at the Geneva Motor Show.
