BMW Motorrad has unveiled its BMW R nineT, a motorcycle that’s been created to mark “90 years of BMW Motorrad”. BMW has taken styling cues from old-school motorcycle manufacture and combined them with modern drive and chassis components to produce the nineT. It’s powered by a classic flat twin boxer engine that produces 110hp and 119Nm torque. Owners will be able to customise their individual bikes from a range of BMW Motorrad accessories. The pillion seat is removable which gives the motorcycle the look of a café racer when it’s removed.

There is some modern technology incorporated into the nineT’s design, with front shocks taken from the S 1000 RR superbike and ABS fitted as standard. The traditional wire-spoke wheels are finished in black, while stopping power comes courtesy of radial 4-piston monoblock brake callipers with steel-braided brake lines and floating 320mm brake discs. We certainly love the look of the BMW R nineT and will bring more details including Irish prices closer to its arrival.
