The new Chevrolet Aveo has taken the 2011 ‘best in class’ honours. The award which is judged by the Euro NCAP agency, was presented to Chevrolet recently marking it as the safest Supermini on the market.

The Euro NCAP procedure consists of stringent and rigorous tests, which the new Aveo secured 85 out of  100 points, placing it at the top of the leaderboard. The Chevrolet Aveo is equipped with six standard airbags that are connected to the sensors mounted into the middle of the car. The car’s active safety systems include electronic stability control, traction control and ABS with brake assist. Hill-start assist and cruise control also come as standard.

We constantly get asked which cars are the safest, and luckily year on year the cars we drive are getting safer. So we give a well deserved “pat on the back” to Chevrolet.
