Citroen has launched its all-new C4 Cactus across Ireland, with prices commencing from a very competitively €17,795. The stylish C4 Cactus is 200 kilograms lighter then a Citroen C4 and offers great fuel consumption and low CO2 emissions. One of the highlights of the new Cactus is its Airbump technology which is clear to side on the sides of the car, these airbumps will absorb minor impacts to the doors of the car. Another clever feature is Citroen’s magic wash windscreen wipwers, the washer jets are built into the wipers which reduces the consumption of water and the reservoir size by 50 percent.
The new C4 Cactus is available with three high specification trim levels – Touch, Feel & Flair – with prices starting from €17,795 for the petrol PureTech 75 manual Touch, rising to €23,845 for the BLUEHDi 100 Flair. The exterior features LED daytime running lights and headlights that are integrated into the bumper. Inside, there are five choices of seat upholstery – including velour, cloth and leather options – complemented by three interior ambiences (door trims and dashboard) – Stone Grey, Purple Highlight and Habana Highlight. Customers can choose from three petrol and two diesel engines, the petrol line-up includes a PureTech 75hp, a PureTech 82hp and a PureTech 110hp. The diesel range includes a 92hp e-HDi and a 100hp BlueHDi diesel engine. They all come as standard with a five-speed manual transmission, with a six-speed ETG automatic transmission available optionally.
We had a brief test-drive in the C4 Cactus earlier this week, it impressed us with its bright and airy cabin along with a competent driving style. We will testing the car for a week shortly and will give you a full review afterwards.
