Renaultsport has unveiled its latest hot Clio at the Geneva Motor Show, with this Clio Renaultsport 220 Trophy EDC. The Clio 220 Trophy will go on sale this summer and boasts a number of key features including, a refined EDC transmission, quicker steering, a lower and stiffer chassis and upgraded tyres. Its engine gains a 20hp increase, now with 220hp and 260Nm of torque, there is a torque boost feature in fourth and fifth gears which raises the peak torque to 280Nm. The EDC transmission has up to 40 percent faster gear shifts and there is a 30 percent reduction in the steering wheel paddle travel. The Clio Trophy has been lowered by 20mm at the front and 10mm at the rear with firmer shock absorbers front and rear. This Clio runs on Michelin Pilot Super Sport 205/40R18 tyres for maximum grip. Full specifications and pricing will be announced closer to the car’s Irish launch.
