With the upcoming 2013 Continental Irish Car of the Year awards fast approaching, the candidates have been announced, with one going forward to be crowned Continental Irish Car of the Year 2013. The category winners and overall winner are chosen by the members of the IMWA (Irish Motoring Writers Association) of which our own Ian Beatty is a member of and will therefore be casting his vote. The awards ceremony will take place on the 22nd November in Dublin’s Convention Centre. Commenting on the announcement, Gerry Murphy, Chairman of the IMWA, said, : “In spite of the general economic slowdown, we are still seeing the arrival in Ireland of a lot of innovative new car models brim full of new automotive technologies and the field of runners for the 2013 title certainly doesn’t dissappoint”.
