Production has begun on Ducati’s all-new 1199 Panigale superbike. Its 1200cc V-twin engine produces 195hp and will have different riding modes to suit each rider’s style and conditions. Constructed with light-weight materials the 1199 is 10kg lighter than its predecessor the 1198, with a dry-weight of just 164kg.
Standard fitment on the S and Tricolore models will be Ducati’s Electronic Suspension (DES) system by Ohlins. The bike is equipped with Brembo’s Monobloc M50 calipers, which have a seven per cent weight saving over the previous ones used.
Prices have yet to be confirmed for Ireland.
