Enterprise Rent-A-Car Ireland has been named as vehicle partner for the Garda Four Peaks Challenge which will see some 100 serving and retired members of An Garda Síochána from across the country come together to climb the highest peaks in the four provinces of Ireland over three days, May 19-21. The aim of the challenge is to promote mental health awareness within the Garda organisation and in the wider community. The event will also seek to raise funds in support of the work of Aware, the charity that works to raise awareness of mental health.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car Ireland’s HR Manager, Leslee O’Loughlin, said: “We are delighted to support the Garda and the international team who will participate in the Four Peaks Challenge. We wholeheartedly support the team in their mission to raise awareness of mental health wellbeing and their fundraising efforts in support of the hugely valuable work of Aware”.
Garda Brendan O’Toole of the Four Peaks Challenge organising committee said: “We are very thankful for Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s support of the Four Peaks Challenge – the use of the Enterprise vehicles will be a great help to us as we face the gruelling challenge of climbing Ireland’s four highest peaks across four provinces in just three days”.
The serving and retired Garda members participating in the challenge will be joined by serving officers from the NYPD, PSNI, Australian and Spanish Police who are taking part in and supporting the challenge.
The event will take place as follows:
• Day 1: Carrantuohill, Co. Kerry – 19 May
