Ford has released some key details of its new Focus ST ahead of the car’s launch in Ireland this September. The Focus ST is being premiered as Ford’s global performance car and will go on sale in 40 countries. Irish prices will commence from €35,170. Amongst the standard equipment onboard the Focus ST will be keyless start, Recaro sports seats, 18” alloys and Bluetooth connectivity. At the heart of the ST is a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine which produces 250hp. It’s powerful yet economical with a combined average fuel consumption of 7.2l/100km and has CO2 emissions of 169g/km. Coinciding with the launch of the Focus ST is the screening of The Sweeney film, a movie adaptation of the classic 70’s British police series, staring Ray Winstone and “PlanB” Ben Drew as Regan and Carter.
