Ford has announced some details on its new Focus which arrives in Ireland this coming November. Prices will commence from €20,295 and the Focus will be available across four trim levels, entry-level, Style, Zetec and Titanium. The Focus is available in a three-door, five-door hatch, four-door saloon, and five-door estate. Powering the new Focus is a choice of a 1.6-litre and a 150hp 2.0-litre diesel as well as the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine with 100hp and 125hp outputs. The standard level of equipment is generous with all ESP, hill-launch assist, mykey Gen 2, colour-coded bumpers and spoilers, tyre pressure monitoring system, power door mirrors and capless refuelling all included. The new Focus is the first vehicle in Europe to offer SYNC 2, Ford’s advanced connectivity system. SYNC 2 features a high-resolution, eight-inch colour touch screen and advanced voice control of audio, navigation, climate control and mobile phones. SYNC 2’s navigation system also offers for the first time in Europe a split-screen display with detailed intersections, spoken street names, 3D highway junction and landmark views, and the Michelin guide.
