Chill Insurance and Renault Ireland were delighted to give away a brand new 162 All-New Renault Mégane to the lucky winner of the Chill Insurance Car Giveaway that took place last May on RTÉ Radio One’s The Ryan Tubridy Show. John Sharpson from Glasnevin recently picked up his stylish new car from Linders Renault in Finglas, and was delighted to be one of the first to get his hands on a 162-registered All-New Renault Mégane. He also won a year’s free road tax along with one year’s free car insurance up to the value of €500.
John won his first round of the Chill Insurance Car Giveaway on The Ryan Tubridy Show on RTÉ Radio One, where he scripted and voiced a very impressive Disney-inspired show involving Shrek characters, amongst others, in a quest to find a new car. Three finalists were then picked to visit the RTÉ studios to battle it out with movie trivia and for every correct answer, each finalist received a key. John got three keys and was lucky enough to have one that opened the winning car.
John Sharpson; “My mam told me that Ryan Tubridy was running an impressions competition on his show on RTÉ Radio One and that I should enter. I am so glad I listened to her and I’m still in shock that I have just won a brand new Renault Mégane! Checking the keys to see if one of mine was a winner was unbelievably nerve wracking. I had nearly lost hope when I tried my last key as two of the other finalists still had a few keys left. When I saw the lights flash, I lost it and shouted like an absolute maniac, I was so delighted! I’ve been driving a 1999 Renault Clio and the timing belt needs to be replaced, so though my Clio is much loved, it was great ‘timing’ to win a new car!
