Honda has unveiled its Micro Commuter Prototype EV commuter. They will begin demonstration testing in Japan next year to verify the potential of the vehicle, which they feel will be used for everyday short-distance transportation. As a result of the vehicle’s variable design platform, it can accommodate varying bodies and interiors to make it compatible for a variety of uses. The navigation, meter display and reversing camera are integrated into a tablet device, which can be charged through solar cells that are mounted on the vehicle’s roof. It may be perfect for those who commute short distances daily or local small businesses who have a deliver service.
