Irishman and Galway native, Cathal Loughnane has been appointed as Manager of the new Peugeot Design Laboratory in Paris. Cathal will be reporting to the Director of Style at Peugeot’s design centre, Gilles Vidal. This new design studio has been created to offer a team of design specialists to external clients from various sectors outside the automotive world.

Cathal qualified as an engineer from the Dublin Institute of Technology, then joined PSA Peugeot Citroen in 1999 as in intern. He then progressed to work for 12 years on vehicle interior design and on the design of concept cars. For its launch and to demonstrate its design capabilities outside the automotive arena, the Peugeot Design Lab devised a portfolio presenting visions of various products: a yacht, powerboat, an aeroplane and a watch. We at rev.ie wish Cathal all the very best in his new role, and look forward to seeing some of his designs in the future.
