Two ground-breaking models make their public debuts on the Jaguar Land Rover stand at the Geneva Motor Show. The Jaguar I-PACE puts the legendary British brand at the forefront of the electric vehicle (EV) revolution, while the Range Rover SV Coupé is the world’s first full-size luxury SUV coupé, from the originator of the luxury SUV sector. The newest member of Jaguar’s PACE family comes to Geneva straight from its global online reveal. I-PACE is the EV drivers have been waiting for, with sustainable sports car performance, all-wheel-drive agility and five-seat practicality – a real electric alternative to a traditional premium SUV.
I-PACE will be capable of rapid charging from zero to 80 per cent in less than 40 minutes* and has been rigorously tested across extremes of terrain and temperatures. Almost 50 years ago, Land Rover created the luxury SUV sector with the introduction of the Range Rover. At Geneva it will reveal the world’s first full-size luxury SUV coupé: the limited-edition two-door Range Rover SV Coupé. Made in Britain, SV Coupé is a dramatic and desirable addition to the Range Rover portfolio, combining a seductive body design and a supremely refined interior that sets new standards for materials and craftsmanship, with extensive personalisation options.
No more than 999 SV Coupé models will be hand-crafted by Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations for clients worldwide. Dr Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover CEO, said: “Jaguar Land Rover is at the forefront of technology and desirability in Geneva. The Jaguar I-PACE is the electric vehicle drivers have been waiting for and the Range Rover SV Coupé is the most luxurious and exclusive SUV.” Alongside these debuts Jaguar Classic will exhibit a one-off, tailor-made Jaguar XJ6, commissioned by Iron Maiden drummer and lifelong Jaguar fan Nicko McBrain.
This ‘new’ 1984 Jaguar XJ6 Series III features a host of custom touches and draws inspiration from Jaguar’s illustrious back catalogue and McBrain’s musical heritage. The 2018 motor show stand will showcase all the latest vehicles from the Jaguar Land Rover stable and will demonstrate its commitment to cleaner, safer and smarter technology.
