Ford Ireland has announced pricing for the new Ford Fiesta, due to arrive later this month. Prices will commence from €15,550 with a choice of petrol and diesel engines, including Ford’s new 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine. Commenting on the new Fiesta, Eddie Murphy, Chairman and Managing Director Ford Ireland said, “Fiesta has been one of Ireland’s best-loved small cars and, packed as it is with truly cutting edge technology, this new version is sure to win over a new generation of fans, new Fiesta is a great mix of style, technology and fuel efficiency that I am sure will appeal to the tech savvy generation.”
The new Fiesta is the first Ford to feature Ford’s MyKey technology, this enables the car owner to program a key which restricts the top speed of the car and reduces the maximum volume of the audio system, it’s aimed at younger drivers. This system can also prevent the driver from switching off the stability control and active city stop safety systems. There are three variants of the Fiesta on sale, Fiesta, Fiesta Zetec and Fiesta Titanium. The entry-level model comes equipped with 14” steel wheels, daytime running lights, a rear spoiler, electric front windows, usb and Aux connectivity, ABS, ESP and hill launch assist as standard.
There will be five engines to choose from:
- 1.0 litre Ecoboost petrol 65PS (99 g/km CO2 – road tax and VRT Band A)
- 1.25 60PS Petrol (120 g/km CO2 – road tax and VRT Band A)
- 1.25 82PS Petrol (120 g/km CO2 – road tax and VRT Band A)
- 1.5 TDCi 75PS Diesel (98 g/km CO2 – road tax and VRT Band A)
- 1.6 105PS Auto (138 g/km CO2 – road tax and VRT Band B)
