Ford’s all-new Mondeo will go on sale Ireland this November, with prices commencing from €28,995. Initially it will be available across two variants, Zetec and Titanium with a five door and estate model available. Standard specification on all-new Mondeo Zetec includes: 16” alloy wheels; front fog lamps; quickclear windscreen; day-time running lights; trip computer; MyKey; SYNC; cruise control; leather steering wheel / gear lever; power front and rear windows; and Auto Start Stop. The Mondeo Titanium features: 17” alloy wheels; chrome door-line; auto lights and wipers; power-fold mirrors; front and rear parking sensors; Lane Keeping Aid; Traffic Sign Recognition; SYNC Gen 2; 8” touchscreen; sport seats; and auto dimming mirror.
This new Mondeo will be the first Ford built on their new global CD-segment platform and will feature Ford’s new integral link rear suspension configuration. In Ireland, all-new Mondeo engine options will include the well-proven diesel powertrains, the 1.6 litre 115PS and 2.0 litre 150PS (including a Powershift automatic) from launch. Coming in early 2015, engine choices will be extended to include the fuel-efficient and surprisingly powerful 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine – that was named International Engine of the Year for an unprecedented third time in a row. In addition, there will also be a new 1.5 litre EcoBoost 160PS engine.
