Mercedes-Benz has launched newly revised versions of its CLS Coupé and CLS Shooting Brake across Ireland. There is a new entry-model, the CLS 220 BlueTEC diesel, available from €62,505, it’s also available in the Shooting Brake variant, priced from €65,000. The CLS gets an enhanced interior whose features include a new, free-standing head unit, restyled centre console and redesigned three-spoke sports steering wheel. Two diesel and two petrol engines power the new CLS-Class the most popular likely to be the four-cylinder CLS 220 BlueTEC (170bhp/400Nm). Its attributes include a 122 CO2 rating, 4.7-litres/100k fuel consumption and Band 1 road tax of €270 per annum. Second diesel is a CLS 350 BlueTEC V6 version (258 bhp/620 Nm). The petrol models include a 3.5-litre V6 biturbo in the CLS 400, this delivers 333hp and 480Nm of torque, the CLS 500 boasts 408hp and 600Nm of torque.
