Opel’s new Corsa OPC will arrive in Ireland this May, with prices commencing from €29,995. Powering the new Corsa OPC is a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces an impressive 205hp and 245Nm of torque. It can return a combined fuel consumption of 7.5L/100km. The Corsa’s power is transferred to its front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The new Corsa OPC has Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) which allows damping forces to adapt to the car’s movements. The Corsa is also equipped with a two-stage switchable electronic stability programme and traction control. In Competition Mode the traction control is inactive, while the ESP is relaxed to allow less intervention. For track use, the ESP can be fully disabled.
Customers can opt for a performance package (€3,000) which adds 18-inch alloy wheels, a motorsport-derived limited slip differential, Brembo four-piston brakes and re-tuned Koni FSD system. The interior boasts Recaro sports seats, a leather steering wheel and sports pedals. Other standard features include a heated windscreen, IntelliLink infotainment system, air conditioning and cruise control.
