It’s an initiative that’s been formed between Nissan Ireland and Breast Cancer Ireland to raise funds for the charity. Nissan Ireland will donate €50 for every test drive of a Nissan Micra during the pink week. There will be four pink wrapped Micra’s touring the country during the week. Breast Cancer Ireland is a charity that’s been established to raise vital funding to support research into breast cancer. Their aim through research is to transform breast cancer from often being a fatal disease to a chronic illness, which can be maintained long term through treatment.

Commenting on the announcement, Jeanne McGann, Head of Marketing andCommunications, Nissan Ireland said, “To celebrate the success of the car that has everything, and to mark the occasion Nissan has decided to give something back and is joining the drive for Breast Cancer Research by supporting Breast Cancer Ireland. It’s a very important cause that impacts the lives of many of us in this country.” Aisling Hurley, Development Director, Breast Cancer Ireland said: “We’re encouraging everyone to support Nissan Micra Pink Week. It’s a generous and creative way of raising funds and we’re asking people to make some time in their busy schedule to get behind the initiative. It costs the consumer nothing and yet will help significantly in our Race for a Cure”
