Production of Opel’s new Insignia has commenced in Russelsheim, Germany, where Opel’s have been built since 1899. Approximately 6000,000 Insignias have been made here, with 3,000 employees building the new Insignia. This new model features a more distinctive design with a new high-quality interior along with Opel’s latest infotainment system. There will be a choice of petrol and diesel engines available, with a new 2.0-litre CDTi turbo diesel engine that emits just 99g/km of CO2 and will return a combined fuel consumption of 3.7l/100km. There will also be a new variant, the Insignia Country Tourer, it boasts all-wheel drive along with higher ground clearance.
