Opel are set to introduce Groupe PSA connectivity services in Europe under the name Opel Connect. the new connectivity services will be introduced on Opel passenger cars and light commercial vehicles beginning in 2019. One of the first models to feature Opel Connect will be the next generation Corsa, which Opel will also produce as a battery electric vehicle. The connectivity offer will include vehicle diagnostics, stolen vehicle assistance and remote vehicle access, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. By 2024, Opel Connect will be available across the entire Opel model range. Commenting on the introduction of Opel Connect, General Manager of Opel Ireland, Gillian Whittall said: “Opel has established itself at the forefront of automotive connected services. The new technology will enable us to consolidate this role in the future”.
