SEAT’s latest addition to its Leon model line-up comes with the arrival of the new Leon Sports Tourer 4Drive. The Leon ST 4 Drive is equipped with permanent all-wheel-drive. It uses a newly developed multi-plate clutch with hydraulic actuation and electronic control, a fifth-generation Haldex clutch. In normal operation, the clutch transmits most of the engine power to the front wheels. Should their traction decrease, the torque is diverted smoothly and in a matter of a few milliseconds to the rear. It’s available with a choice of two TDI diesel engines, producing 105hp and 150hp and offering a combined fuel consumption of just 4.5L/100km and 4.8L/100km respectively. The Leon ST 4 Drive will arrive in April with the 105hp variant, this will be followed by the 150hp model in summer. Commenting on the announcement, Cian O’Brien Director of SEAT Ireland said, “With its dynamic look, impressively high level of functionality and state-of-the-art technology, the Leon Sports Tourer 4Drive defines the new standard among compact estate cars – and at a very fair price.”
Prices and full specification will be announced closer to the car’s arrival.
