SEAT Ireland has just recently announced their plans for a new product offensive on foot of receiving a €20m investment in the brand in Ireland. Their all-new SEAT Mii will kick-start their new product offering. It’s available initially as a three-door model, with a five-door variant to follow. The Mii is powered by the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that powers its close relatives, the Volkswagen Up and the Skoda Citigo. It produces 75hp and thanks to low emissions of 108g/km it’s seated in tax band A. It’s frugal too, capable of returning a combined fuel consumption of just 4.7l/100km. Prices for the Mii commence from €9,895, it’s available across three trim specifications, Mii, CHIC and SPORT. All models have ESC, hill hold, multiple airbags and ISOFIX points for the rear seats fitted as standard. The CHICH model (€11,350) offers 14” alloys, electric and heated door mirrors, central locking, a leather steering wheel and gear stick and a height adjustable driver’s seat. This model also gains its own specific CHIC trim and upholstery with chrome trim elements and a white dashboard. The €11,550 SPORT variant gains tinted rear windows, front and rear sports suspension and shock absorbers, it also has its own SPORT specific trim and upholstery with a grey dashboard. SEAT Touch is available as an additional extra for just €347, it’s a 5” Touch Screen complete with Bluetooth connectivity, satellite navigation and an on-board computer. It also has a slot for SD cards to play MP3 files and display images. If you purchase a Mii in 2012 SEAT Ireland are offering this clever piece of kit free of charge.
