Suzuki celebrates some great news with Swift hybrid voted as the winner of the compact car category at the Irish Car of The Year Awards held recently in Dublin and arranged by the Motoring Media Association of Ireland (MMAI) in association with Continental Tyres.

The latest model Swift was introduced in the Republic of Ireland just six months ago and has been very well received with its high standard equipment and safety specification, low CO2 emissions of just 99g/km and very competitive price of €21,995 for the Motion model with manual transmission.

Daragh Keaney, Chairman of the MMAI comments “Congratulations to Suzuki on their big win at last week’s Irish Car of the Year in association with Continental Tyres. The fourth-generation Swift won Irish Compact Car of the Year 2025 after being voted in ahead of some serious contenders. The win for the new Swift model comes 19 years after the 1st-gen version won the overall Irish Car of the Year.”

Dale Wyatt, Director Automobile Suzuki GB PLC and Suzuki Ireland comments: “We are really pleased to receive this important accolade for our Swift in Ireland. It proves once again the high popularity of the Suzuki hybrid range of cars and will certainly contribute to our continued sales success thanks to our strong network of 24 dealers in the Republic”.

Standard equipment for Swift Motion grade is very comprehensive and includes 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, navigation, rear view camera, rear parking sensors, Adaptive Cruise Control, wireless smartphone link display audio, keyless entry & start, Driver Monitoring System, Dual Sensor Brake Support (upgraded), Lane Departure Warning and Weaving Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitor and enhanced Traffic Sign Recognition.

Ultra grade adds 16-inch polished alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning, rear passenger heater outlet and electric folding door mirrors incorporating side turn indicators.

The high popularity of Suzuki’s range of cars continues in Ireland, and it has once again passed the 2,000 units annual sales record, well before the end of the calendar year.
