After almost a month since launching the new Model Y in Europe with a limited-edition Launch Series, Tesla is introducing additional variants of its global bestseller today.
Each variant comes standard with all premium features and benefits from extensive reengineering, maximizing efficiency, comfort, connectivity, and safety — integrated into a completely redesigned interior and exterior, introduced with new Model Y.

All new Model Y vehicles include cross-car front and rear lightbars, acoustic glass, 8” rear touchscreen, hands-free trunk opening, customisable ambient lighting, and an additional front facing camera. The two front seats have been redesigned for improved comfort and are now ventilated. The second-row seats offer enhanced comfort and convenience with easier-to-access buckles, longer cushions, deeper bolsters, with powered recline and fold-flat operation. Both first and second rows are heated, and all are working seamlessly with integrated climate controls.
Model Y was already the most efficient SUV in its class. By carefully reworking every energy-consuming subsystem, Tesla has unlocked significant improvements in energy efficiency, resulting in real-world gains for owners without additional costs.
The new Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive sets new standards for efficiency within the Model Y range – only 22.36 kWh/100mi. This is lower than many small city cars, while offering the space of a full-size versatile SUV, capable of carrying the whole family and all their gear on cross-countries trips. When combined with connected Trip Planner and Tesla Superchargers, the largest and most reliable fast-charging network globally, road trip possibilities are limitless.
Ride comfort has been enhanced while still retaining the Tesla signature agility and handling. New Model Y boasts new chassis hardware, including a stiffer body structure, redesigned suspension geometry and kinematics, also borrowing damping technology from Upgraded Model 3. The new front suspension geometry and steering gear allow for a slightly slower steering ratio that better matches the character of new Model Y, while improving response linearity, predictability and consistency, especially on motorways.
Rear suspension geometry has been redesigned with a focus on reducing impact harshness. Suspension kinematics have been optimized both in the front and rear axle to improve disturbance rejection over bumpy roads. Dampers now have frequency dependence to improve high-frequency isolation.
With the introduction of acoustic glass on every surface, paired with new sound-dampening materials, new Model Y offers a whisper quiet ride. Road noise is reduced by 22%, impact noise by 20% and wind noise by 20%. Upgraded new low-E glass roof reflects 7 times more solar energy which reduces heat transfer into the cabin. The thermal system remains efficient and quiet. Combined with best-in-class HEPA filtration and advanced heat pump technology it ensures the perfect temperature for all passengers.
All new Model Y vehicles delivered in Europe are built in the Tesla Berlin-Brandenburg Gigafactory in Germany. New manufacturing processes have been implemented to provide an elevated level of craftsmanship. Every interface has been redesigned for greater precision and a tighter fit. Material refinements deliver a higher quality appearance and increased sound dampening; with soft, wrapped components extending from the headliner to the floor. Textiles with a soft, refined feel have been produced with new manufacturing technologies.
The goal behind the developments was to enhance the ownership experience: higher quality materials, more precise details and fitment, improved comfort and ease of use, and lighter parts for improved efficiency and range—without additional cost.
Redesigned body castings reduce parts from 70 to 1 for fewer gaps, further enhancing comfort.
