The Dublin International Film Festival is one of the most iconic events in Ireland’s cultural calendar. Dublin city will transform into a vibrant hub of cinematic excellence, bringing the best of Irish and international cinema to the capital for a celebration of storytelling.

With the festival conscious of its sustainability and responsibility to use greener energy, Volvo Car Ireland will supply a fleet of all electric Volvo EX90, EX40 and EX30 models, enabling the festival to provide emission free transport for participants to and from venues across Dublin City.

This year Volvo Car Ireland will support the festival’s Sustainability Gala taking place on 24th February, showcasing two films: Seaweed Stories, directed by Jake Sumner and Our Blue World, directed by Ruán Magan. Both of which explore the transformative potential of nature and the innovative efforts of individuals and communities around the globe to address urgent environmental challenges.

At Volvo, everything begins with people, from its commitment to safety, through to innovation and sustainability. Volvo Car Ireland recognise the importance of supporting local organisations particularly those that connects communities. The Dublin International Film Festival does just that by igniting ideas and inspiring a love for cinema that lasts all year round.
